Vice President of Engineering

GetBamboo.com is seeking an exceptional and talented Vice President of Engineering to recruit and lead the development team and drive the technical vision for our cutting-edge cannabis technology platform. As a key member of the executive team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company and the cannabis industry as a whole.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a talented team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Develop and execute a robust technical strategy that aligns with the companys overall business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and sales, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality products.
• Implement best practices in agile methodologies, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our existing products and services.
• Manage and optimize the engineering budget and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that nurtures growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Extensive experience in software development, architecture design, and project management.
• Deep understanding of modern web technologies, cloud computing, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or similar.
• Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
