Senior Android Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Our West Coast US-based client provides cloud-based construction software to clients worldwide. Together, we develop and upgrade an award-winning suite of project management tools. They enable hundreds of thousands of registered users to manage all types of construction projects: industrial plants, office buildings, apartment complexes, university facilities, retail centers, and more.

• Qualified with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or possessing equivalent work experience
• Having 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of building native Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Possessing a broad and deep understanding of Android’s architectural components (Room, LiveData, Jetpack, etc.) and the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture
• Experienced in working with RESTful APIs using JSON
• Understanding the multi-threading, concurrent programming, or performance optimization
• Knowledgeable of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and practices
• Great at developing and shipping complex high-quality software products
• Exceptional at communication and working closely with team members and adjacent teams
• Experienced in leading initiatives and correcting the course as needed
• Used to consistently evaluating current technical approaches to continue being the industrys best-of-class
• Experienced with Coroutines and Flows (would be a plus)
