INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. The Technical Operations team is responsible for the architecture, deployment, and secure operation of the production environments & services. These include the on-prem data centers that manage thousands of physical and virtual machines and multiple cloud vendors with both directly managed and tenant environments. This team also manages the global network spanning over 26 countries. As an Infrastructure Engineer on the TechOps team, you will be a force multiplier for the engineering & operations teams, delivering tooling & infrastructure that not only has a direct impact on day-to-day operations but also helps contribute to the future evolution of Infrastructure & Engineering. Technologies Used: Programming Languages: Python, Bash; System Orchestration: Puppet, Ansible; Container Orchestration: Kubernetes; Version Control: Git; Virtualization: KVM; Monitoring: Icinga, Grafana, Prometheus; CI/CD: GitLab CI, Argo CD; Physical hardware: BIG-IP, Dell Servers. Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Good understanding of infrastructure administration.
• 3+ years of commercial experience with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals.
• Experience working in a highly-available, dynamic production environment.
• Driven towards automation, remove manual process bottlenecks to increase efficiency.
• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration.
• Experience with configuration management.
• Understanding of virtual machine management.
• Upper-intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities:

• Build out orchestration server orchestration with Puppet/Ansible for the server fleet.
• Help investigate issues alongside the broader engineering team.
• Support build-out proper monitoring with Icinga2 for the server environment.
• Work with the systems engineers to remotely triage physical server issues.
• Further, develop the automation and orchestration safeguards.
• Build out internal tooling written in Python.
