Senior DevOps Engineer (Big Data)

Our client is a West Coast US-based client providing cloud-based construction software to clients across the globe. Together with the client, we build a next-generation construction data platform. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll partner with other engineers and product managers across Product & Technology to develop data platform capabilities that enable the storage and management of data for use in transactional and analytical applications.

• Having 3+ years of experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
• Proficient in AWS
• Strong in Databricks, Spark, or Kafka infrastructure administration
• Experienced in Terraform
• Strong in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Confident in Python scripting (development experience would be a plus)
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
• Familiar with Scala or Java (as a plus)

• Support data platform infrastructure for our engineering teams via modifications for the infrastructure as code (IAC) codebase
• Troubleshoot issues and propose improvements related to data ingestion, processing, and streaming activities
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and resolution
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
• Formalize improvements to the platform with clean and clear documentation
