Senior/Lead Ruby Software Engineer

Our West Coast US-based Client is providing cloud-based construction software to clients across the globe. Using its award-winning suite of project management tools, hundreds of thousands of registered users manage all types of construction projects including industrial plants, office buildings, apartment complexes, university facilities, retail centers, and more.

• A motivated Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Ruby
• Strong in Ruby on Rails
• Having a deep understanding of Authentication and Authorisation mechanisms and related protocols, MFA
• Experienced in the creation of custom Authentication and Authorisation systems
• Knowledgeable in database technologies
• Well-versed in database migration techniques, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during transitions.
• Skilled in GraphQL, PostgreSQL,
• Confident with AWS, CQRS, OAuth0 and OAuth2.0, Microservices Architecture, GitHub, and Atlassian (Jira and Confluence)
• Having additional experience with Go will be a huge plus
• Proactive and initiative person
• A team player with leadership and delegation skills, ready to support teammates
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side (Upper-Intermediate English level or higher)

• Engage with a team of seasoned developers and learn advanced Ruby techniques and best practices
• Solve complex challenges in sophisticated software systems
• Write robust, maintainable code along with comprehensive test cases, ensuring code quality and functionality
• Create custom Authentication and Authorisation systems
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements, demonstrating a strong commitment to driving the project forward
• Create and articulate ideas, and complex concepts clearly and effectively to the rest of the team
• Work collaboratively within a team environment, maintaining a positive attitude and contributing to a healthy, productive work culture
