Senior .NET Engineer at Ciklum

Ciklumis looking for aSenior .NET Engineerto join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior .NET Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Your role will be pivotal in fostering communication and collaboration. You will work closely with product owners, backend engineers, and platform engineers. Together, you will redesign and migrate critical business logging services, enhance existing workflows, streamline platforms, and develop robust and scalable backend solutions that serve our extensive customer base.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Order Issue Resolution team,

• Play a vital role in collaborating with multiple development teams to migrate and maintain services which provide issue resolution capabilities such as refunding and cancellations
• Lead the porting of existing .NET based services from EKS to modern kubernetes platforms
• Configure and implement observability best practices by setting up proper logging, metrics, and alerting using Datadog
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, covering testing, packaging, and deployment
• Configure and deploy services on Kubernetes clusters running in AWS (EKS), including Helm chart creation and updates
• Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests to ensure correctness and reliability of migrated services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to contribute to the team's continuous improvement
• Work within the Agile framework (SCRUM or Kanban) with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Requirements:

• Strong background in .NET, with experience maintaining or refactoring backend services
• Experience with the use of SNS/SQS and Kafka in event-driven systems
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services, particularly EC2 and EKS
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions)
• Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies
• Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes deployments
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining backend services in microservice architectures
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile processes and team structure
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of when a pragmatic approach is needed
• Commitment to writing tests as a definition of done

Desirable:

• Prior experience with service migrations/re-platforming projects
• Familiarity with observability/logging pipelines at scale
• Ability to design and build software that is secure, stable, scalable, and reliable
• A mindset of moving fast with confidence
• Focus on trust, transparency, and building resilient platforms
• Java Experience or a willingness to work across languages
