SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (RUBY)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Ruby Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client provides fully integrated software systems to manage all facets of accounting and transaction management for upstream, midstream, and transportation verticals of the oil & gas industry. Whether it is an analysis of existing reports to consolidate/eliminate, migrating historical data, or prototyping allocations, the client has the experience to optimize the experience with the software suite. Project: The development of an external integration for volumetric data for midstream customers using REST API. Tech Stack: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Backbone.js, Golang, SQL Server, AWS & Azure. Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries against a relational database.
• Understanding operating in a Linux environment.
• Experience in REST and effective web service design.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product and business team to understand the requirements and ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
• Work with other engineers to ensure the system and product are consistent and aligned throughout all processes.
• Perform code reviews and ensure code quality is maintained
