SENIOR FULL STACK ENGINEER (REACT NATIVE&TYPESCRIPT)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (with React Native and TypeScript) for a part-time position (20 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a first-of-its-kind friend-making app focused on building community within organizations. You will play a vital role in the development team. We seek a candidate with exceptional coding skills and a solid ability to learn new technologies rapidly. The ideal candidate is passionate about creatively solving complex problems and possesses natural leadership qualities. In this role, you will lead major design initiatives, contribute to the development of the product, and take pride in crafting robust production code that withstands the test of time. Requirements:

• 5 years of experience building mobile applications.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript, React Native/Expo, and Serverless APIs.
• Good knowledge of React Native for cross-platform mobile application development.
• Expertise in functional programming, especially using the fp-ts library in TypeScript.
• Understanding of using TypeScript for front-end development.
• Experience with Expo.
• Experience with EdgeDB/PostgreSQL for database management.
• Knowledge of Meilisearch for implementing search capabilities.
• Familiarity with Firebase, specifically Firebase Auth for user authentication and Firebase Functions for serverless backend code.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for backend development.
• Passion for uniting the world and building community.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability and enthusiasm to make technical decisions and provide direction for projects and teams.
• Expertise in efficiently managing team priorities and delegating technical responsibilities when necessary.
• The ability to be a primary point of contact for communicating with client-side technical experts.

Responsibilities:

• Full-stack development: Take ownership of end-to-end development, including front-end and back-end components, delivering highly maintainable solutions through thoughtful and strategic coding.
• Technical Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and architect products and services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, availability, and reliability of the tech stack. Lead design discussions and provide expertise.
• Front-end development: Develop user-friendly interfaces using modern technologies (React Native / Expo, TypeScript, fp-ts).
• Back-end development: Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient server-side APIs and services in TypeScript and integrate with external APIs.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other team members to create exceptional customer experiences across mobile, cloud, and desktop platforms and provide intuitive solutions.
• Product contribution: Contribute to all product decisions, leveraging technical expertise to develop the roadmap. Assist in the tech stacks architecture, scalability, and efficiency for optimal performance and user experiences.
• Direct technical aspects of operations related to escalated client accounts or high-severity issues.
• Balance business and technical considerations when designing solutions.
• Actively contribute to improving the companys technical awareness, depth, and utilization of technology.
• Participate in establishing best practices, standards, and policies related to software development.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and prepare the company and engineers for their integration.
