WHO ARE INNOV8

INNOV8 (https://www.linkedin.com/company/innov8ua) is an innovation and entrepreneurship center, founded to develop the technological ecosystem in Ukraine in 2023. The center helps potential and existing entrepreneurs create and scale startups and technology businesses.

During its existence, the INNOV8 center:

• supported the development of 210+ startups, projects, and entrepreneurs in the field of innovation and technology, AI, AgriFood, HealthTech, and MedTech on programs;
• attracted 100+ pro bono mentors and market experts;
• has 10+ successful partnerships;
• conducted 20+ workshops, trainings, and hackathons to support entrepreneurship and attract investments in Ukraine;
• develops the equity-free venture program Mission Possible with the first cohort of 20 entrepreneurs (May 2024).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We have the Science2Business Programme (S2B) as part of the Seeds of Bravery (UASEEDs) project funded by the European Unions European Innovation Council (EIC).

Were looking for an experienced, ambitious, and focused Head of Communication Projects to strengthen our team and help us support Ukrainian tech startups and bring them closer to the EU market. As a part of our team, youll be engaged in building full-cycle communications and actively expanding.

WHAT CHALLENGES AWAIT YOU

• Communicate the Science2Business to recruit scientists for participation in the programme.
• Lifecycle management of our communications projects in the Seeds of Bravery programme.
• Assist our Marketing & Communications team in creating and integrating communications plans.
• Develop and implement the communications strategy from the ground up, in alignment with the overall project strategy, in cooperation with the Marketing & Communications Director and Programme Head.
• Planning, conducting, and evaluating the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
• Defining and allocating communication resources for each Seeds of Bravery project and setting clear priorities.
• Setting and tracking project milestones, KPIs, and PR results.
• Preparation of general analytical reports.
• Determination of long-term operational goals in communications.
• Management of the full production cycle and planning of video, photo, and text content from idea to implementation in internal (social media, site, internal channels) and external resources.
• Public relations with Ukrainian and Global media, partners, event organizers, and contractors,
• SMM management: content planning, setting tasks for the design team, creating texts for publications, managing deadlines, monitoring of mentions in mass media and social media, and communication with external audiences in social media.
• Cross-functional collaboration with the Programme Head, Marketing & Communication Director, Programme PM, and other team members.
• Tracking trends in communications, global and UA events, tech ecosystem, and implementing new approaches.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT FOR US

• Experience in the position of Communications Manager / PR Manager / PR Lead for 1.5 years. Experience working on the full project cycle from 0 to 1 will be an advantage.
• Experience in managing social media for 1+ years (Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.).
• Experience in creating and implementing communication and digital content strategies from scratch.
• Experience in creating quality texts and other content in various formats. The fact of placing publications on Tier-1 and Tier-2 Ukrainian and/or Global media will be an advantage.
• Experience in setting tasks for creating visual materials from scratch — strategy, website, brand book, etc.
• Skills in creating simple visual elements, including presentations.
• Experience in building interaction with media and platforms, understanding the ecosystem of Ukrainian and international media and projects, and establishing relations with media representatives and projects will be a plus.
• Understanding the processes of collecting and conducting analytics of PR activities.
• Skills in using analytics tools and social media monitoring systems.
• Understanding of trends, SMM tools, and content formats.
• Ability to create high-quality text support for SMM publications.
• Analytical thinking and understanding of metrics to analyze content performance.
• A systematic approach to work and meeting deadlines.
• Communicability, proactivity, and creativity.
• Proven experience in performing turnkey tasks.
• Literacy, attention to detail, and fact-checking skills.
• Ability to write and communicate clearly and inclusively using gender-neutral language.
• Language fluency in Ukrainian and English (B2+) for communication with global partners.
• The desire to develop and implement ideas in the field of communications.
