Software Engineer 4G/5G (REQ/605)

The Principal Software Engineer will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks, particularly those related to network communication. This role requires developing 4G SCEF and 5G NRF/NSSF/NEF/APIGW/NEF products and providing guidance and support for MNOs worldwide.

Our US client is embarking on a new project that requires a strong set of telecom skills. They are looking for experts who can bring advanced knowledge and practical experience in telecommunications to the table.

• Primarily responsible for designing, developing, and implementing highly complex, multi-faceted products.
• Anticipates problems and future technical needs and takes corrective steps to address them.
• Under the guidance of the architect, plays a pivotal role in setting the technical direction of the product, considering industry trends, competitive information, and product requirements.
• Serve as a leader in the review of designs developed by other team members.
• Anticipates and identifies problems, then provides alternative solutions to successful results.
• Design, develop, test, and automate Telecom application software using primarily Java technology or similar languages.

• Experience in architecture and framework design for commercial products or systems.
• Strong programming skills in object-oriented programming languages.
• 6+ Experience with Telecom/Networking protocols or networking software development.
• Experience with Java and Springboot technologies or similar technologies.
• Experience with real-time and high-performance application development.
• Experience in developing highly available/redundant software.
• Understand development best practices and standards (design patterns, coding standards, etc.).
• Good understanding of Git and branching.
• Self-learner with good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of AGILE and SCRUM methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience in Java/Python.
• Experience with REST API development.
• Good knowledge of Relational and Non-relational databases.
• Knowledge of basic Linux system administration tasks
