This position is responsible for the Roche Companies’ tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for all applicable taxes. The successful candidate will be a member of the Group Tax team and will work with businesses and in daily activities he/she will mainly interact with local Finance colleagues, accounting shared services center and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is a team player who manages the tax team to greater performance, creates and implements tax plans and works with the business and local Finance to identify opportunities and potential areas of risk. The Tax Lead will be an individual contributor and ensure both compliance and business partnership.

Key Responsibilities

• You supervise external tax consultants

• You manage Local Tax Operations (Returns, Payments)

• You maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process

• You provide instructions for Tax Accounting and Payments

• You manage Transfer Pricing according to Group Policy

• You implement Global Tax Policies

• You support the business and interact with local Tax Authorities and Tax Audits

Who You Are

• You have at least 5 years experience in a multinational company in a tax function or from an accounting and tax services advisory company with solid local tax experience

• You have good understanding of Local Taxes, mainly corporate taxes and VAT

• You are fluent in spoken and written English and Ukrainian

• You have good communication skills both providing information and gathering information, ability to create network inside and outside of the finance and taxes area

• You are able to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
