Role Overview: As the HR Director for the African market, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in shaping the companys organizational culture, nurturing talent, and fostering a dynamic work environment conducive to innovation and growth. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, they will lead HR initiatives across multiple office locations within Africa, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic HR Leadership:
• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the companys overall business objectives, focusing on the African market.
• Provide leadership and guidance to HR teams across various locations, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Talent Acquisition and Management:
• Oversee the recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent within the online/tech/ecommerce sectors.
• Implement effective talent management programs, including performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• Employee Relations and Engagement:
• Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related matters, fostering positive employee relations and a supportive work environment.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs tailored to the diverse needs of the workforce.
• Compliance and Legal Oversight:
• Stay abreast of local labor laws and regulations across African jurisdictions, ensuring full compliance and mitigating potential risks.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Organizational Development and Change Management:
• Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational change initiatives, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience in response to market dynamics.
• Lead HR aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with strategic goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience in HR leadership roles within the online/tech/ecommerce industries in Africa, demonstrating a solid understanding of sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
• Experience in the iGaming industry or similar would be a plus, though not a must.
• Solid knowledge of African labor laws and regulations, with experience managing HR operations across multiple countries within the region.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving HR initiatives that contribute to organizational success.
