Purpose of the job:

Our client is global pharmaceutical company focused on combating, preventing, and ultimately eradicating HIV and AIDS

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, build, and maintain big data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory.
  • Develop and optimize data transformation and processing logic within Azure Data Bricks.
  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement best practices for data ingestion, storage, and analytics on the Azure platform.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of big data solutions to meet business needs and ensure high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps engineers to automate deployment and management of big data solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in big data, cloud computing, and analytics.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience working with big data technologies, particularly Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages commonly used in big data processing.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, and related services such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure HDInsight.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications in Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory are a plus.
