Lead AQA

We are looking for Lead AQA to join our global team of 6,000 professionals in more than 60 offices worldwide.

Valtech is a founding member of MACH Alliance, a group that educates enterprises on best-of-breed Microservices, APIs, Cloud, and Headless (MACH) technology. Among the projects delivered are works for Levis, BMW Online Store, Aerolíneas Argentinas.

• 5+ years in a QA Automation role, and at least 2 years on a lead position
• Strong soft skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and take ownership of assigned tasks;
• Proficiency in Cypress or Playwright;
• Expertise in integration and API testing;
• Experience with microservices and distributed services
• Upper-Intermediate English level
• Familiarity with agile methodologies;
• Proven ability to create and execute a comprehensive QA strategy.

As a Lead AQA, you will join a skilled team that develops sophisticated distributed systems in high-load environments. These systems offer diverse solutions to numerous consumers, leveraging modern toolsets and microservice architecture. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of all QA activities. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to QA automation team members;
• Design, develop, and continuously improve test automation framework;
• Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with the overall QA goals and objectives of the organization;
• Participate in code reviews by reviewing pull requests related to automation code
• Provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure adherence to coding standards, maintainability, and efficiency of automated test scripts;
• Create and maintain comprehensive end-to-end automated tests, covering both backend and frontend components;
• Analysis of automated test results, promptly identifying and reporting deviations or issues;
• Gather statistics and report on achieved automation coverage and efficiency;
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to prioritize and resolve identified defects;
• Assess, decompose, and assign to managed team automation-related activities;
• Maintain clear and organized comprehensive documentation for automation frameworks, tools, and processes. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders;
• Share knowledge and expertise with team members to promote a culture of continuous learning.
