JUNIOR JAVA API ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Junior Java API Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a supply chain logistics company that provides online logistics management software. It offers transportation cost, logistics risk management, business intelligence, freight bill audit, payment, warehouse pick, pack, labeling, eCommerce solutions, etc. The advanced technology platforms for real-time tracking, data analytics, and reporting enable businesses to make data-driven decisions. The client offers comprehensive freight management services, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments. They manage various types of freight, including Less Than Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), and small parcel shipments. The company is headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, USA. You will be responsible for designing and developing Java-based carrier integrations with an internally developed API. Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in Java development.
• Understanding of designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
• Profound insight into Java and JEE internals (class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc.).
• Experience using Gradle for building, automating, and managing the dependencies of the Java application
• Understanding of Agile development methodology.
• Knowledge of Git source control.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).

Responsibilities:

• Writу well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
• Implement and integrate Open API (RESTful API, SOAP) services.
• Conduct software analysis, documenting, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Ensure code complies with code standards.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks from start to release.
