Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our beverage operations at a prestigious hotel in the Middle East (specific location undisclosed). As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar, including beverage selection, menu creation, staff management, and customer service, to ensure a world-class bar experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the bar team, including bartenders, barbacks, and servers, by providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive beverage program, including craft cocktails, fine wines, premium spirits, and non-alcoholic options, that reflects current trends and guest preferences.
• Create innovative and seasonal cocktail menus, collaborating with the culinary team to ensure synergy with food offerings and promotions.
• Oversee bar inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of beverages and supplies, to ensure adequate levels and minimize waste.
• Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability, including monitoring pour costs, managing inventory levels, and minimizing shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and hotel policies regarding the sale and service of alcohol, including responsible beverage service practices.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among bar staff.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and feedback, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and striving to exceed guest expectations.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director and other department heads to develop promotions, events, and marketing initiatives to drive bar revenue and attract new clientele.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the bar area, including equipment maintenance, sanitation protocols, and adherence to health codes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume, upscale bar or hotel environment.
• Extensive knowledge of beverage operations, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer, with a passion for mixology and beverage trends.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to deliver exceptional service.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in bar inventory management systems and cost control procedures.
• Familiarity with local liquor laws, regulations, and health codes in the Middle East region (specifically undisclosed location).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the hospitality industry.
