Senior Go Software Engineer

Our client is a top UK food delivery company. Together we develop the app you go to any time you have a hunger pang. We are providing people with limitless access to different cuisines and restaurants, turning cooking from a chore to a choice, and giving people the freedom to eat what they want, when they want, where they want it. Delivery operates in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

• A Golang Engineer with 4+ years of professional engineering experience
• Experienced in microservices development
• Familiar with Gin, Beego, Echo, and Kit frameworks
• Proficient in NoSQL and PostgreSQL
• Strong in CI/CD and creating and managing pipelines in Circle CI
• Confident in AWS (Amazon Lambda, ECS)
• Skilled in writing, testing, integration, and debugging
• Hands-on with Mongo, Redis, ElasticSearch, and Kafka (would be a benefit)
• Aware of their inner workings: Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud databases (would be a plus)
• Showing advantage of Ruby, RoR, or Python
• Capable of expressing your ideas in English on daily stand-up meetings

• Design, develop, and deliver new features as well as optimize existing code
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities
• Gather requirements to identify deliverables
• Deliver quality software solutions using an Agile development cycle
• Analyze and resolve performance, stability, and security issues
• Mentor junior developers

• Grow as a team of professionals in innovative technologies
• Discover new opportunities for enhancement of the delivery app
• Gain certifications from leading providers (Google, AWS & others)
