Making Cents International is seeking a Procurement and Contracts Intern to work on the USAID-funded Ukraine National Identity Through Youth (UNITY) activity. UNITY fosters vested ownership among young people in the country’s democratic, European future by mobilizing youth leadership of a values-based conception of Ukrainian identity grounded in innovation, engagement, and pluralism.

The activity is simultaneously addressing the key domains identified in USAID’s Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach: building youth assets, fostering resilience, offering age-appropriate experiences for youth contribution, and strengthening the enabling environment, while intentionally and safely promoting dialogue and belonging around this pluralistic identity and incentivizing participation and leadership by historically marginalized groups.

Responsibilities

The Procurement and Contracts Intern’s tasks will include:

• Assisting with drafting bidding documents, evaluation reports, and contract award submissions, ensuring consistency in format and content
• Preparing and formatting reports, tables, and charts
• Supporting various project procurement activities
• Publishing procurement advertisements and awards
• Maintaining status reports on procurement activities and progress
• Assisting with updating and organizing tracking documents
• Assisting with contract and procurement audit processes
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Current resident of Ukraine
• Excellent writing and verbal skills in Ukrainian and English
• Knowledge of general business principles; prior experience supporting procurement preferred
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

Our ideal candidate is recently graduated or actively working towards a bachelor’s degree in law, finance, accounting, or a similar field.

Working Conditions
Part-time position which requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for 12 weeks.
