Senior Ruby Software Engineer

We are a distributed SoftServe team cooperating with a US-based customer who operates in a grocery delivery and pick-up service in the US and Canada. The company offers their services via a website and a mobile app. The service allows customers to order groceries from retailers via a personal shopper literally in an hour.

Our expertise, knowledge, and dedication are highly valued by the customer and earned us the status of a trusted vendor. SoftServe is engaged in unlocking project activities, and we are looking for a new talent to expand our team and work together on upcoming professional opportunities.

• An Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Ruby
• Strong in Ruby on Rails
• Skilled in GraphQL, PostgreSQL
• Confident with RPC
• Competent in React
• Accustomed to working with a geographically distributed team
• Available for working till 9 PM EEST
• A proactive and initiative person
• Skilfully maintaining daily communication with software engineers on the client side (upper-intermediate English level, or higher)

• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Create fit-for-purpose technical solutions
• Work in the international environment, cooperating with the teams from the USA and Ukraine
• Collaborate with the team focused on interactions and continuous effectiveness improvement by following Agile values and principles
