Role Description

As a Power BI Developer at DOIT Security, you will leverage Microsoft Power BI and other tools to turn data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. Your role will involve data gathering, modeling, and API integration to create dynamic dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities:

Develop and Maintain BI Solutions:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
• Craft interactive dashboards and complex reports to visualize key business metrics.

Data Collection and Transformation:

• Integrate data from various sources, including databases and third-party APIs, ensuring consistent data accuracy and availability.
• Automate data refresh processes and maintain data integrity through robust data modeling practices.

API Integration:

• Utilize APIs to enhance data connectivity and integration for real-time data updates and additional functionalities within BI solutions.
• Develop custom data connectors as needed to pull data from systems lacking native support in Power BI.

Visualization and Reporting:

• Employ data visualization best practices to create clear and impactful visual representations of data.
• Manage the development and maintenance of KPI scorecards and business performance dashboards.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with internal teams to understand their data needs and deliver BI solutions that meet these requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on navigating and utilizing BI tools effectively.

Optimization and Performance Tuning:

• Continuously assess and enhance the performance and scalability of BI systems.
• Optimize data queries and dashboard functionalities to improve user experience and system efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role, with expertise in Power BI and data warehouse design.
• Strong understanding of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
• Experience with API integration and management for extending data connectivity in Power BI.
