PROJECT DETAILS

Engineering Team Lead (all genders)

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead (all genders) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with international development teams and lead the engineering team that owns the Connect Platform which enables customers around the globe to make group reservation and booking meeting rooms. The Connect is a new product development which is a key part of our strategy to win new business and complement our lodging as a service offering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Development:

• Take full responsibility for team development, mentoring, and growth.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with constructive feedback and address skill gaps.

Development & Management:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable Software as a Service solutions.
• Collaborate with international teams to enhance capabilities and drive the technical direction of product architecture.
• Ensure the platform meets performance, reliability, and security standards.

Process Optimization:

• Optimize development processes for smooth, consistent delivery, using best practices like Agile.
• Improve the reliability and performance of the platform and streamline CI/CD pipelines.
• Use data to drive improvements.

Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with Product Management on new initiatives and serve as the primary contact for all matters related to the Connect platform.
• Align development with business goals through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Technical Excellence:

• Stay updated with industry trends in API development and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Encourage the use of modern tools and frameworks to boost productivity and quality.
• Boost Productivity by utilizing AI powered tools in the development cycle

SKILLS

• Experience: At least 5 years in engineering, modern cloud software architectures, leading teams of 10+ engineers, and managing Scrum teams. Preferred technologies are Java, ReactJS and AWS.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in application design, development, and management; experience with containerized applications using ECS or Kubernetes; knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns; expertise in runtime reliability and performance optimization.
• Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a global team, and fluency in English.
