Purpose of the job:
Our client is creating an online services platform for the video game publishers. Being behind some of the most popular game franchises in the world, it resolves all online video gaming challenges and allows game creators to shift their focus on playability. We are looking for the senior engineer with solid background in Python to join the application platform team, which is responsible for the services, tools and libraries with which other teams build game-facing products and services.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain and evolve the application platform libraries, services and tools
- Work on a variety of software engineering tasks to make service development faster, more reliable, and easier
- Design, code, unit test, standalone pieces of work
- Participate in code reviews
- Create and update documentation
- Work independently and in a team environment
- Participate in daily meetings and regular planning sessions
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVE:
- 6+ years of commercial software development experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of database design, including MySQL and NoSQL databases
- Docker expert
- Solid knowledge of architecture patterns
- Experience building microservices and/or serverless applications
- Upper Intermediate English or better
WOULD BE A PLUS:
- Proficiency in Azure
- Experience woking with Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of underlying technologies (TCP/IP, Linux/Unix internals).
- Experience with game development or game engines
