Purpose of the job:

Our client is a Germany-based global pharmaceutical company. With a strong focus on research and innovation, they develop groundbreaking therapies and healthcare solutions. They are currently looking for a Data Engineer with strong Snowflake and Python skills to join an existing team and contribute to their data-driven initiatives.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply hands on experience in implementation of new schemas and extension of existing ones
  • Implementation of new functionality
  • Work closely with client on daily activities
  • Review and optimization solutions

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency in modern, strictly-typed Python
  • Data warehousing skills , preferably using Snowflake
  • Data lakes and large-scale data processing
  • Experience in service-oriented backend/API development, particularly with FastAPI

WOULD BE A PLUS:

  • Expertise in Pandas, Polars, and Spark
  • Experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
  • Familiar with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
  • Experience in building and running monitoring & alerting facilities across all deployed stacks
  • Proficient in CDK (TypeScript)
