1. Role and responsibilities:
The ESS Coordinator-Roving plays a pivotal role in administering, mainstreaming, coordinating, providing technical support, and monitoring the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) across KfW-funded projects. As a commitment to ensuring compliance with the World Banks pertinent Environmental and Social Standards during the implementation of KfW-funded projects.
The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and mitigating potential environmental and social risks associated with project implementation across different regions. This role requires frequent travel to project sites to assess and address safeguarding concerns, liaise with stakeholders, and provide technical guidance to project staff.
