Role Overview:

The Backend Software Developer will play a vital role in the development and optimization of FluentPets Rails API backend, enabling seamless communication between our innovative IoT products and mobile applications. This position requires a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails, with an emphasis on API design and cloud infrastructure management, particularly within AWS. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to architect and implement scalable solutions, driving technical strategy while ensuring high-quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize our Rails API backend, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to design and implement backend solutions that support our mobile app and IoT products.
• Architect, design, and implement new features, integrations, and enhancements to our backend systems.
• Maintain and improve backend infrastructure, leveraging AWS and other cloud services to support growth and scalability.
• Establish and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Define technical direction and strategy, aligning backend development efforts with overall company goals.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, with a deep understanding of API design, development, and maintenance.
