Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable

Position Overview:

CRDF Global ’s Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable will supervise and manage Global Accounts Payable function. Under the supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and setting up control systems to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal control policies, audit engagements, and technical guidance. The Accounting Manager will also oversee the accounting operations for the Europe and Eurasia Hub and Central Asia office, maintaining the required internal and external reporting systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, technology, communication, and organizational skills. An effective Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable, has a good knowledge of accounting principles, is organized, with an excellent eye for detail. They must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage & Supervise a Global Accounts Payable Function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and on-time payments.
• Manage cash requirements for all offices and bank accounts.
• Supervise monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, Accounts Payable and Payroll accounts.
• Track and report on KPI related to Accounts Payable function.
• Lead AP month end and year end close process including establishing and managing year end accruals.
• Communicate and explain accounting and compliance issues to staff.
• Review all transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Uniform Guidance.
• Assist with annual audits and tax filings.
• Manage efforts and projects to automate and streamline all areas of responsibility.
• Supervise EE Hub and CA office payroll processing and all related tax filings.
• Supervise all labor adjustments for EE & CA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of non-profit and U.S. government funding experience
• Previous experience managing a diverse team.
• Previous experience assisting an organization in the annual audit process.
• Experience in international program activities.
• Experience managing financial systems.
• Experience in understanding and managing multicurrency transactions.
• A CPA or CPA candidate (or equivalent FPBAU certificate) desired
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint 8.1 is preferred.
