THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our backend team, responsible for maintaining the companys infrastructure. This role will require working closely with our development team to write API tests, utilize SQL for database verification, and create comprehensive test plans, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Must-have:

• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, particularly in backend testing.
• Strong knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman or similar.
• Proficiency in SQL for database verification and validation.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with development teams.
• Experience in writing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Background in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.

We are a distributed team of more than 80 people, all working remotely and communicating partially synchronously (we usually overlap with our teams for 3/4 hours daily and are free to work on some of the tasks whenever it suits us best).
